Some gynecological surgeries can be conveniently performed in some of our UWH of the Carolinas offices. This allows your provider to deliver the care you need without a hospital visit. After an evaluation, your provider will determine if you’re a candidate for these in-office procedures.

Our team has extensive experience performing a variety of in-office surgical procedures. Our in-office surgeries can be for diagnostic or treatment purposes and include loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) surgery for abnormal Paps, dilation and curettage (D&C) for miscarriage, endometrial ablation, hysteroscopic polypectomy, and myomectomy procedures.
Your provider will review your medical history, symptoms, and needs in order to determine if you are a candidate for in-office surgery. They can help you learn more about what to expect from in-office surgery and monitor your progress every step of the way.

In-office surgery has many benefits for patients and providers. When you have a procedure in our office, our team is directly responsible for and can provide your care more efficiently. You’ll work with a team you’re already familiar with in an office that you are comfortable in.
Since all our in-office surgeries are minimally invasive, you can go home the same day. After surgery is complete, you can recover at home, and your provider will monitor your recovery as you heal via telehealth or in-person appointments.
