Midwifery Services with Certified Nurse Midwives

A certified nurse midwife is a highly trained healthcare professional who is skilled and caring. When you are pregnant, you can choose to enjoy midwifery services provided by UWH of The Carolinas certified nurse midwives. Our midwives work with you if you have a low-risk pregnancy, your health is good, and we anticipate no or few complications. However, if issues do come up, our OB/GYN physicians will also be there for your care.

The midwife will encourage you to play a significant role in your pregnancy and your child’s birth. Focusing on the importance of a close relationship between you and your healthcare provider, our certified nurse midwives will provide the personalized pregnancy care, through to the delivery, that you need for a healthy pregnancy and birth.
