The day is finally here. You are about to meet your new baby! The healthcare professionals at UWH of The Carolinas will be right beside you as you experience labor and delivery, to ensure everyone’s health and well-being. As your baby drops and your cervix expands, you will know you and your baby are almost ready.

As your due date nears, you will probably begin to experience the early signs of labor, with strong and frequent contractions accompanied by a new type of lower back pain. Your obstetrician will let you know when you should call and when you should go to the hospital for that very exciting moment you’ve been waiting for all these months.
