Elizabeth McGrath is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She was born and raised in Raleigh and graduated from Broughton High School. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011. After working at Rex Hospital as a Labor & Delivery nurse for eight years she received her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier University in 2018.

Mrs. McGrath lives in Raleigh with her husband, infant son, and two dogs. She enjoys spending afternoons hiking in Umstead park, and attends Hayes Barton United Methodist Church.

“I truly enjoy obstetrics and gynecology because it gives me the privilege of working with women from all backgrounds and throughout their lifespan. The most rewarding part of my practice is education and helping women to make informed choices about their health. As a new mother myself, I particularly enjoy caring for women on their journey to motherhood.”

Mrs. McGrath’s other professional interests include preventive health education, and caring for adolescents and millennials!

Elizabeth is wonderful! I always leave more informed then when I arrived which is very important to me as a patient who wants to understand her body more. I do wish the shot I received was cheaper without insurance coverage which is the only reason I gave a 4 star.

Elizabeth McGrath is always professional, but comforting. She not only listens to me, but also reads me from a physicians standing. During this visit, I was in extreme pain something that had nothing to do with my visit and in that same day had an order sent out to start the process of getting me to see the people I needed to see to relieve my pain. Dr McGrath is the first doctor in so so long that actually takes her time to speak with me. She walks me through the treatment process and what to look out for moving forward. She waits to make sure I understand and if I have any questions. She also goes above and beyond to make her patients feel comfortable.
