Dr. Ruiz received her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. She attended Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for residency. Dr. Ruiz prides herself on staying current in her field to provide the best possible care. Her mission is to empower women to prioritize their health. As a mom herself, she believes there is nothing more special than bringing new life into the world! She enjoys spending quality time with her family and some of her favorite activities include hiking, visiting parks, traveling and playing board games.

Dr. Interaction was fine as usual. The NA was not top notch and can’t take a suggestion or criticism well. I know she’s to ask if someone has had a mammogram, I stated no and she should read the information in a person’s chart, I suspect the provider sees other patients who have had a double mastectomy. I heard her in the hallway upset about my comment, Also have her review about exams, the doctor still checks my chest area. Dr. R didn’t do the anal exam, not sure why.

Lauri is always very good about explaining things where I can understand, since I do not have a medical background. She also listened to my concerns and had a multi-step process for eliminating various options with the tests she ran in the office and a follow up test that she had scheduled.
