I completed my medical degree at UNC Chapel Hill’s School of Medicine and fulfilled my residency in obstetrics and gynecology in the UNC Hospital system.

My husband, Thomas, and I have two daughters. I enjoy reading, outdoor activities, and being a mom.

Follow-up Visit (Problem / Complication)

Dr Barrett is amazing, as always. It was supposed to be a 5 minute follow-up after an ultrasound check, she managed to assist with identifying a vaccine I wanted to get but had been marked as already receiving and track down what had happened and get the vaccine provided, managed to spot a concern based on the ultrasound check and provide a course of action to try and remediate it as well as explaining what future treatment might require, and she was able to take care of a problem I was concerned about that was scheduled for a separate appointment. Dr Barrett is immensely knowledgeable, extremely kind and compassionate, and an ideal doctor. I repeatedly tell her that I know she is a trained specialist but I wish she could be my doctor for everything. I have never had a bad provider/technician with CAOBGYN, but Dr Barrett is the best.
