Amanda Jones is originally from Arizona but has called North Carolina home since 2016. Amanda has been experiencing life with her husband and children in several states. Along the way she developed her professional career in women’s health, following her passion as a registered nurse in labor and delivery and ultimately reaching her goal of becoming a certified nurse midwife.

As a board-certified nurse midwife, Amanda focuses on supporting and empowering women and their families through individualized care, mutual partnership, and meaningful communication. She provides midwifery care that allows every family to feel safe, supported, valued, and respected.

Amanda and her husband Scott have four children. They especially enjoy spending time together at the beach soaking up the warm weather. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys working on home improvement projects with her husband, decorating her home, and developing her crafting skills.

I have truly enjoyed my visits with the office and especially with Amanda Jones. I relocated to the area with our family from Florida at 30 weeks pregnant so I was nervous to try a new provider. After a perfect experience at Cone Health with Amanda I would come back no matter where we travel just to deliver with Amanda at my side. She knew what I desired and expected in pregnancy, labor and delivery and kept me informed. She is amazing.

I’m always impressed by Wendover because they rarely make you wait more than a few minutes to get you in. Most doctors offices have you waiting forever- no matter your condition or lifestyle, but I’ve been going to wendover for almost a year for pregnancy and post partum and was very rarely made to wait very long. The staff are almost always friendly and kind and seem interested in me as a person. I see Amanda Jones primarily and she is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. I truly couldn’t describe my ideal midwife Any better than Amanda. She cares about you individually which is so incredibly rare in a provider. She’s always interested in me, even asking for pictures of my baby, remember things I struggle with, texting me through her own number, always being willing to answer questions/give reassurance and advice even outside of her work hours. She seems to really “get” my personality and gears her approach accordingly. She never acts like I’m bothering her even when I ask a million questions. I appreciate her so much.
