Amanda Jones is originally from Arizona but has called North Carolina home since 2016. Amanda has been experiencing life with her husband and children in several states. Along the way she developed her professional career in women’s health, following her passion as a registered nurse in labor and delivery and ultimately reaching her goal of becoming a certified nurse midwife.

As a board-certified nurse midwife, Amanda focuses on supporting and empowering women and their families through individualized care, mutual partnership, and meaningful communication. She provides midwifery care that allows every family to feel safe, supported, valued, and respected.

Amanda and her husband Scott have four children. They especially enjoy spending time together at the beach soaking up the warm weather. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys working on home improvement projects with her husband, decorating her home, and developing her crafting skills.

The appointment was actually with one of her students, Auriel, who was so informative and amazing at listening. She made me feel comfortable. Then I did see Amanda but for the end of my visit unfortunately she seemed rushed because of how busy she was with her students. Overall she seemed knowledgeable and kind.

Amanda is always so patient and very informative. It has been several months since seeing her and I needed to share some big health shifts that I had been experiencing. I was so relieved to have such a positive and affirming appointment. I got updated medication and a plan to follow up to get me back on track. I even received a phone call a few days later reviewing my labs and once more the plan for me to get better. Im soooo blessed to have such a caring provider!

First and foremost, Amanda is AMAZING!! I would give her 10 out of 5 stars if I could! Her level of care is exceptional. She always goes above and beyond for her patients. She has the unique ability to make you feel like you're the only patient she's attending to or focused on, meanwhile, you know she's managing several others! She takes the time to hear you and address your concerns, but more than that, she remembers you, your health and what your goals are. SHE DESERVES A RAISE!!!!! She was born to be a midwife and she embodies her calling better than any I've ever seen! Don't ever lose her! Front Desk staff -- check in: no complaints, the girls up front are always friendly and smiling! They get you checked in quick and have always shown a welcome greeting. I would give them 5/5! Check out: Jessica is always great! I would give her 5/5! I try to get to her window, she's always friendly and I've never had an appt scheduled wrong with her. More than once, she's taken the time to MAKE SURE she's scheduling my future appts correctly, even if that means she has to call someone to ask or walk to the back of the office. The other girl at check out... oof. She comes across friendly, however, EVERY SINGLE APPT she has scheduled for me, was not scheduled properly, either resulting in me being in the office for quite a while (once was my u/s & my dr appt were scheduled an hour apart, that was an unnecessarily long appt), or having to get worked in for an u/s (again, resulting in being in the office much longer than necessary). She also had no problem arguing with me over what was CLEARLY stated in my chart, regarding what providers I have to see, telling me that I HAD to rotate between the midwives when I was cleared to only see Amanda and Dr. Law, and that "Amanda can't just make that decision for herself". I understand what protocols normally take place, but I am in a different situation this pregnancy and my entire pregnancy plan was discussed, created and cleared a long time ago, AND was put in my chart, so arguing with a patient is not only unnecessary, but also, extremely unprofessional. I would give her 0/5, I would likely give her less if that was possible. Just disappointing all around. U/s staff: everyone I've had so far has been friendly and knowledgeable! I would give them 5/5. Lab staff: love them!! The regular girls in there are just so sweet and friendly! But everyone that's done a blood draw on me so far, has been great and are so smooth that you barely even feel the stick! I would give them 5/5. Nurses: everyone I've had an encounter with has been very friendly and efficient! I would give them 5/5. Overall, I really really do love the office and am so much happier here than where I was a patient at before!! And because I don't think it could be said enough, Amanda is THE BEST!!!

Amanda was absolutely wonderful! So incredibly supportive, encouraging and HELPFUL when it came to positions to push in. She made me feel strong and empowered, like I could do it even when I felt really scared. I’m so thankful she was there for me and delivered my baby girl safely!
