Anthony L. Masciello

Originally from Tampa, FL, Anthony L. Masciello moved to the Winston-Salem area in 1994 when he joined our team. He graduated summa cum laude from Mercer University and received his medical degree in 1985 from the University of South Florida. He completed his residency at the University of Florida Health Science Center Jacksonville in 1989. After residency, he served in the National Health Service Corps, providing care for disadvantaged patients in Fort Myers, Florida. Dr. Masciello returned to Jacksonville in private practice in 1991. Since moving to the area, he has been Division Director at Forsyth Medical Center and Medical Park Hospital. In addition to caring for his patients, Dr. Masciello dedicates his time and talents to helping others. Since 2006, he has volunteered with Hands of Hope NC, a local medical mission group providing care in the Dominican Republic. He is also involved with Team MR8, a charitable organization in honor of Martin Richard, the 8-year-old boy who died in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings. Team MR8 honors Martin’s message of “No more hurting people. Peace.” by investing in education, athletics, and community.

In addition to general obstetric and gynecologic care, Dr. Masciello has a special interest in operative hysteroscopy and laparoscopy. When he’s not caring for so many, he enjoys running, water sports, and spending time with his wife, Gena, and their son and daughter.
