April earned her Master of Science degree in Nurse Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. She spent 10 years nursing at a high risk obstetrics practice and a clinical instructor for nursing students.

April’s professional interests include natural childbirth and Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBACs). She enjoys being a part of a collaborative environment where she is able to care for women throughout their lifespan.

April lives an active lifestyle with her husband, son and daughter. When not working, she loves to travel and spend time outdoors enjoying her family and friends.

April was training that day. I could tell that she and her trainee were both very busy but they didn't make me feel like I was in the way. During this appointment they let me know that my baby is breech. April was very upbeat and did not let me feel scared by this information. They both stayed for an extra 10-15 minutes and answered a full page of questions that I had. At no point did they make me feel like I needed to hurry up or that my questions were unimportant. I appreciated it.
