Ashley Schaublin is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She attended Union College in Schenectady, NY before relocating to North Carolina to complete both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2010) and Master of Science in Nursing (2017) at Duke University School of Nursing. Her bedside nursing career was dedicated to caring for the smallest of patients, serving as a neonatal intensive care nurse at Duke University Hospital and WakeMed Cary. Her neonatal nursing experience gives her a unique perspective and compassion when providing obstetrical care.

Mrs. Schaublin lives in Hillsborough, NC with her husband and daughter. She never outgrew her love for horses and hopes to share this joy with her little girl.

Dr. Schaublin is always a pleasure to be with, especially during uncomfortable/intimate settings. She never makes me feel rushed, always asks how I'm doing, how I'm feeling, if I have any questions, and will answer them all, without ever making me feel silly or judged. I always feel like I have options and that I'm not feeling pushed into making any sort of decision I don't feel comfortable with. I wish there were more people like her.

I was given tremendously thorough care at my appointment with Ashley Schaublin. After having initially high blood pressure she took every precaution to not only ensure my baby and I’s safety, but keep me calm and explain to me every part of the process. I felt incredibly well taken care of both medically and emotionally during a vulnerable time!

Annual Well Woman Exam

I was never told at the time of scheduling mammograms were not done in that building. I arrived at 1:45 for a 2:00 mammo and a 3:00 pap. No one at the front desk mentioned it. I was taken back after vitals were done. A young lady came to me at 2:20 and asked if I knew I was early? I told her no I was waiting for a mammogram that was scheduled at 2:00. She then responded and told me they were not done at that office but they were gonna take me back to do my Pap smear. I asked her why no one would tell me that. I’ve never been there for a mammogram or scheduled one before. She said they didn’t know? She was very rude. Had annoyed written all over her face and acted as if I was the person who messed up?? I was so mad. I had taken off work early for the appointment and got attitude during the visit. I was so upset the rest of the visit , I just didn’t even want to be there anymore. Ashley was very kind and did her best to make better of the situation even though I was very upset. Scheduling should tell patients where they need to be if it’s not arbor. I never knew mammograms were not done there
