Dr. Kurtz considers her job a privilege. She believes in taking care of patients the way she would want her family to be cared for. Dr. Kurtz has three young children and a wonderful husband.

Office Visit / Follow-up

Dr. Kurtz is an excellent physician and I value her expertise. However, when I arrived at her location in Arden, the office was closed. I called the main office and they told me that Dr. Kurtz was now working at the Asheland office. I had not been notified of the change in location for my appointment. The office staff advised me to drive to the Asheland office and that they would explain this to Dr. Kurtz so that I could be seen. When I arrived at the main office, the front office staff had not been notified of the reason for my late arrival and told me that I would have to reschedule because I was past the 15 minute late window. As I was explaining my circumstances to the front office, the back office staff overheard and explained the situation to the front office. They had not yet discussed this with Dr. Kurtz so I was still in limbo regarding whether I could be seen after making the long drive to the main office. Dr. Kurtz agreed to see me, but I was still unclear whether she understood why I was late. Later, my prescriptions were sent to the wrong pharmacy after I had specifically identified the correct pharmacy. I am concerned that there is a disconnect between the Arden and main office in communicating important information to patients, and also a disconnect between front and back office staff at the main office.
