Dr. Kurtz considers her job a privilege. She believes in taking care of patients the way she would want her family to be cared for. Dr. Kurtz has three young children and a wonderful husband.

Salpingectomy

I left the office feeling even more confident about my decision than when I came in. Dr. Kurtz did not once question my decision in wanting a salpingectomy. My fear was that as a young(ish) women with no children, without trying other birth control methods I would be dissuaded from the procedure. Instead, I was met with complete understanding, a spread of my options, and no questions about my personal decision for permanent pregnancy prevention. I would recommend Dr. Kurtz to anyone considering the same path.

There was a medium wait both in the waiting room and in the exam room, even though I arrived in advance of my appointment time. I appreciate Dr. Kurtz's humanness, knowledge, and honesty. She must say the same things over and over in any given day. Sometimes she says something so fast, it's hard to even understand her words (though I know it's likely something about the next act she is going to perform in the exam). It makes the experience feel a bit impersonal, though I understand. I appreciate that she is available for questions and gives great eye contact when talking to me, like I am seen and matter.
