Dr. Kurtz strives to give her patients the best care possible. She is passionate about helping women be their best selves. She enjoys all aspects of General Obstetrics and Gynecology; from discussions regarding birth control options to technical minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries.
Dr. Kurtz considers her job a privilege. She believes in taking care of patients the way she would want her family to be cared for. Dr. Kurtz has three young children and a wonderful husband.

Everything I needed done was done, but there is always an obvious tension in the air of a doctor’s office on a Friday afternoon, by which I mean its obvious the care of the patient is second in priority to leaving the office and being done for the weekend.

Dr. is amazing and really listens and offers sound professional advise. I feel she is genuinely interested in my health and wellbeing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars because the ultrasound front desk was wanting me to get a service I didn't feel was necessary based on my conversation with the Dr. After my ultrasound it was also evident that I didn't need the mammogram service they were trying to sell me on.

IUD Insertion / Removal

My personal experience with the removal and replacement of my Mirena IUD was unlike any other. This is my 4th IUD insertion I've had done and it was excruciatingly painful and I went into what I believe was a cervical vasovagel shock response. My BP dropped and I felt pretty bad for a while, I stayed in the office until I felt fully recovered from the episode.... as far as the experience with the staff and professionalism, everything was great, my care was handled properly from check in until check out....

SO many communities lack Women's Health services , but Asheville has one of the best. I am very appreciate of her and the care she provides.
