Cecilia Banga

Cecilia Banga, DO, FACOOG is a Board-Certified Osteopathic OB/GYN with a passion for adolescent gyn, low and high risk obstetric care, and laparoscopic surgery. She serves the Greensboro, North Carolina, community at GSO OB/GYN. Dr. Banga has been treating patients since 2011.

Originally from Ghana, Dr. Banga moved to the United States in 1997. She received her undergraduate degree in biomedical science and zoology from the University of Oklahoma in 2002 and then went on to medical school at Oklahoma State University- Center for Health Sciences. In 2007, she graduated with a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine ( D.O.).

Dr. Banga completed a 4 year tracked internship and residency at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey.

As an OB-GYN at Greensboro OB-GYN Associates, Dr. Banga is passionate about providing patient centered, evidence based medical care in a collaborative and holistic environment.

Dr. Banga is actively involved in many Local and National Professional organizations. She is a DEI advocate and a graduate of the most recent 2021 Physician Leadership Program at Cone Health.

When she is not working, Dr Banga loves spending time with her husband and two daughters. She also enjoys reading, writing and exploring new cultures through travel.
