Dr. Sapp grew up in a rural farming community in Iowa. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Winona State University in Minnesota. After college, she volunteered at an orphanage in Brazil before attending medical school at the University of Iowa. During medical school, she traveled to Kenya and Ecuador on medical mission trips.

She completed her Ob/Gyn residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. During residency, she received the Golden Apple Teaching Award, the Faculty Excellence Teaching Award, the H. Oliver Williamson Award for excellence in Gynecology, and she was the Chief Resident of Administration.

Dr. Sapp joined Charleston Ob/Gyn in 2008. Her interests are in medical missions, endocrine disorders, and laparoscopic surgery. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the South Carolina Medical Association and the Christian Medical and Dental Association. She is married and has three daughters.

I was greeted well by the front desk, who even remembered my last name. I was taken back to the room on time and the staff made sure I felt welcomed once again. Dr. Sapp is always intentional with me, asking me personal questions as well as pertinent medical questions and clear information for that visit. She always gives space for my questions and is confident with gentleness and sincerity in her responses and guidance in care.

Only reason 4 instead of 5 is because my appointment was at 2:45 and I wasn't seen until 3:30. I understand there seemed to have been an emergency, but would have been nice to have some communication and be told they were running behind. Otherwise I had a great experience. Dr. Sapp is extremely professional and has exemplary.

My appointment was at 2:30, but I wasn't seen by Dr. Sapp until about 3:20. She was very quick and wonderful, but it's very frustrating to wait that long to be seen. Otherwise, I have no complaints!

Dr. Sapp is amazing as always but the reason I didn't give a 5 rating was because I waited over an hour past my appointment time to get into an exam room because of all the OB add ons that were added that morning. Maybe the scheduling team shouldn't schedule so many Monday morning appointments and then you all will have room for all of the Monday morning add ons you probably have every week. Thanks!
