Dr. Heinemann is a Board Certified fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Having been born and raised in Georgetown, SC, she attended the University of SC and received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. Upon completing her residency at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville, she joined Lowcountry Women’s Specialists in 2008, and became a partner in 2009. Dr. Heinemann specializes in both gynecologic and obstetric care, including endometriosis, infertility, and polycystic ovarian syndrome. She is proficient in robotic surgery as well as both medical and surgical treatments for urinary incontinence. Dr Heinemann lives in Mt Pleasant and enjoys reading, boating swimming, traveling and, most of all, spending time with her husband John and their children.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)

The ladies at the front desk continued holding their conversation as I walked in. I was not greeted and they did not call me up to check me in. One of the ladies just looked at me without saying a work and I had to ask if could walk up to be checked in. They are not typically that friendly. I sat in the waiting room for a long time. Then in the room for a long time. The overall weight time exceeded an hour and the actually appointment was less than 5 minutes where she asked me three questions. I was expecting blood work or more during the actual appointment. I am disappointed because I paid a copay and will have to pay for the appointment. This could’ve been handled via the portal or waited until my next appointment in July.

Post-Partum Appointment

I just love Dr Heinemann!!!!!!!! She was with me for 7 years when I was at my lowest with fertility issues. I had fibroids and never thought I would be able to have a baby but here I am 7 years later thanks to Dr Heinemann. She listens, she cares and she always allow me to make decisions regarding my treatment. She cares about her patients and it shows. She is very thorough and quick.
