Originally from Kansas, Jennifer Santos came to Winston-Salem in 2004. She graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1999. Jennifer worked at Forsyth Medical Center and Wake Forest Baptist in labor & delivery, as well as Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and Duke University Ob/Gyn clinic. After 22 years of experience as a women’s health nurse, primarily in obstetrics, labor and delivery, and high-risk pregnancies, she received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2021 and became certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Providing continuity of care to better women’s overall health for a lifetime continues to be her primary goal.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with family, going to her children’s athletic activities, hiking, exercising, and spending time at the beach.

I had a great experience from the moment I stepped in the door until the moment I stepped out. The woman who checked me in at the front was very pleasant and thorough. The nurse who called me back to do my vitals was very friendly. During my visit I was very nervous and after telling Jennifer how I was feeling she did an amazing job at helping me become relax. She talked to me and I just felt so comfortable.

Gynecological Problem Visit

As a first-time pregnant individual, I felt a bit judged by the nurse when I was surprised about my pregnancy. I experienced dyspareunia for the first time, and there was no ultrasound conducted. When I feel pain, I now worry if it might be an overgrown cyst. Although Jennifer was respectful and professional, I wish there had been a better explanation or an ultrasound to alleviate my doubts and provide reassurance.
