Originally from Kansas, Jennifer Santos came to Winston-Salem in 2004. She graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1999. Jennifer worked at Forsyth Medical Center and Wake Forest Baptist in labor & delivery, as well as Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and Duke University Ob/Gyn clinic. After 22 years of experience as a women’s health nurse, primarily in obstetrics, labor and delivery, and high-risk pregnancies, she received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2021 and became certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Providing continuity of care to better women’s overall health for a lifetime continues to be her primary goal.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with family, going to her children’s athletic activities, hiking, exercising, and spending time at the beach.

I had a very pleasant experience from the moment of my arrival to the end of my visit. The waiting period during check-in was minimal and the front desk staff was professional and courteous. I barely had to wait for the nurse to call me or take me to the back and that process was pretty fast as well. The nurse took care of all the basic wellness check in and questions in a timely manner, she was welcoming and friendly as well. Lastly, I have been seeing Jennifer Santos for about 2-3 years now and my visit has always been a positive experience. She makes me feel at ease, tends to my needs and answers all my questions. Hawthorne OB GYN is my favorite practice so fat in WS.

She was polite and understanding and event though I will always be uncomfortable with pelvic annual exams she was patient and made me feel as comfortable as possible. She appear to genuinely care about my problems and acknowledged by frustrations. She also provided clear and excellent recommendations.
