Dr. Wright is enthusiastic about obstetrics and helping patients start their families with the best possible care. He believes in delivering the best care possible to women, regardless of age or circumstance.
Dr. Wright encourages optimizing reproductive health before pregnancy and also attending to the needs of mothers after they have had their children. He specializes in incontinence and prolapse surgery, infertility evaluation and management, menopause, and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Wright is married and has two children. His family has lived in Western North Carolina for many generations. A former collegiate runner, competitive cyclist and tennis player, Dr. Wright leads a healthy, fit lifestyle and is active in his church and local athletic activities.

Start to finish, the experience was lovely. The woman at the front desk was warm and so so helpful, to me and other patients I saw her interact with. The nurse was lovely. And Dr. Wright was great. It’s hard to feel 100% comfortable at a place like this (obviously, it’s the gyno) but his ease, helpfulness, and almost nonchalant attitude about things I was uneasy about asking in the first place was so nice. He discussed things with me in a way that made me feel part of the conversation rather than another human he only sees once a year. I can’t believe I’m reviewing my gynecologist but you guys are great. So cheers I guess!

Dr. Wright is extremely caring and competent. He is also very thorough. I don't mind waiting awhile to see him because I know he is giving every woman exceptional care. I am heard. I feel he listens. He asks about partners, home environment, mental and physical health. He is patient. He is a great doctor who goes out of his way to make me feel important, like my needs matter. He jots down facts about you and asks about them the next time he sees you. He believes in a woman's right to make her own decisions about her body. Best OB/GYN I've encountered in my 48 years.
