Dr. Simmons then attended LSU Medical School in Shreveport, LA where she earned her medical degree in 2018, receiving an award for excellence in OBGYN. She went on to complete her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA earning distinction in laparoscopic surgery in 2021. She enjoys cooking, being outdoors, playing tennis and spending time with her husband and her dog.

Gynecological Exams

This was an annual appointment but we also discussed OB/GYN health issues that had occurred during the months which preceded this appointment. Dr. Simmons performed a thorough examination of my uterus and explained her findings in a kind and easy to understand manner. A mammogram was performed just before our visit and she explained how the results would be communicated to me. We also discussed medication and renewal of prescriptions.
