“The mix of pregnancy and procedures is what initially attracted me to OBGYN, but the sustaining part is developing relationships with the patients and improving and maintaining their health. I am passionate about health education and strive to have patients engaged in their own health. I want them to feel comfortable talking to me, and I aim to be clear and direct in my communication. I want to make sure they have the resources they need for a healthy life. Women are motivated to make the best decisions they can for their lives. There is no other field in medicine that I would enjoy as much as this.”

Kimberly McGill was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, but since the age of 13 has lived in different parts of the U.S. as well as overseas. She received a National HealthCorps Scholarship during medical school, which led her to New Mexico to fulfill her service requirement. A true Southern girl, she moved back to the South and was in Fayetteville, NC for four years before moving to Raleigh in 2018. She enjoys traveling. Her recent trips have been to Iceland, Dubai and Thailand. She also enjoys exploring Raleigh and the surrounding cities. Other interests include exercise, photography, and attending live shows and performances. She has family in Virginia, Hawaii and Alabama and visits them as often as she can.

Annual Well Woman Exam

Always treated like family here! Every time I visit Dr. McGill, I find her to be very knowledgeable, confident, and most of all caring. I wish she could be my Family Medicine Doctor! She performed a surgical procedure where I was placed under anesthesia. Everything went extremely well. Thank you for all that you do, Dr. McGill

OB Care

Intake nurse was awesome as always

Annual Well Woman Exam

Felt like no one really cared, they were just there to get me in and out, staff not friendly, doctor didn’t even care about an issue I expressed. I’m very disappointed with this place and have been for awhile, I keep thinking about going somewhere else but I always end up giving them a last chance and every time I’m even more disappointed

Skin Infections

I was satisfied in the check up/exam for the bothersome symptoms and I was seen in a timely manner and appt availability was 2 days after my symptoms started so that was good. However, I had some questions and concerns about what I felt was related to perimenopause and those were addressed minimally at best. At my well check up over the past 2 years, I had questions and a couple concerns about the changes in my body at this age and each provider made me feel the same way—I felt unheard and that my concerns were just brushed aside as normal things women my age should and would experience. No resources for me to learn or info for me to understand…very little info to help manage. There is knowledge out there that can help at this stage in perimenopause and yet this practice doesn’t seem to connect at all in this space of women’s healthcare which is disappointing since I have been a patient and had all of our babies delivered with this practice and always received the best care during my pregnancies as well as general well visit care. But that is more textbook and this area of my life will be a big and long one and there is a HUGE gap here in taking the time to listen and communicate about what our bodies are going through and how we can best support our bodies during this transition. One provider literally wrote down what podcast I should listen to for reasons for my decreased libido. I wanted to understand what was happening and not be given some sec therapist show. Another provider told me declining estrogen is natural (which ofc it is) and basically my body is winding down and that when I’m basically really going down hill we can visit my options. I still can’t believe that was the response to my questions and concerns

Gynecological Problem Visit

Dr McGill is always professional and prompt. Provides great care

IUD Insertion / Removal

The office schedulers scheduled me for the wrong visit type, but Dr. McGill worked to get the issue resolved within the hour.
