Leah Alfino, FNP-C, IBCLC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and an international board certified lactation consultant at Lakeshore Women’s Specialists, PC. She joined the team in December of 2018 and serves patients living in and around Davidson, Huntersville, Lake Norman, and Mooresville, North Carolina. Leah provides obstetric, gynecological, and lactation care to her patients.

Leah values the opportunity to establish and build a comfortable and trusting relationship with her patients while providing thorough, compassionate care.

Leah is originally from Southwest Virginia but has resided in North Carolina for the last 22 years. Prior to coming to Lakeshore Women’s Specialists, she worked as an OB nurse and lactation consultant at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center for 18 years.

Leah and her husband live in Huntersville with their son and daughter. Leah loves spending free time with her family, traveling to watch her son play basketball, and running.

Leah is always amazing ! The front desk clerk also amazing , friendly and welcoming. Scheduling and service prior to visit was terrible. Took 6 weeks to get in for a birth control refill. Called multiple times office staff was rude on the phone. I am 14 they have told my mother she can’t do anything for me because I am over 15 . I go to school and don’t have to time call and don’t even know what I am talking about .

They were 45 minute late to take me back for my appointment. She couldn’t view my file so when asking for a blood penal I couldn’t exactly reference what was needed. Felt like I was rushed out and the blood panel I had one ended up testing one hormone. I feel like there was confusion in communication.
