Leah Alfino, FNP-C, IBCLC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and an international board certified lactation consultant at Lakeshore Women’s Specialists, PC. She joined the team in December of 2018 and serves patients living in and around Davidson, Huntersville, Lake Norman, and Mooresville, North Carolina. Leah provides obstetric, gynecological, and lactation care to her patients.

Leah values the opportunity to establish and build a comfortable and trusting relationship with her patients while providing thorough, compassionate care.

Leah is originally from Southwest Virginia but has resided in North Carolina for the last 22 years. Prior to coming to Lakeshore Women’s Specialists, she worked as an OB nurse and lactation consultant at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center for 18 years.

Leah and her husband live in Huntersville with their son and daughter. Leah loves spending free time with her family, traveling to watch her son play basketball, and running.

There has been so much confusion with my multiple visits to the office. From being taken back and it not being my chart, to my urine being dumped, to being rushed through an apt (that the provider was over an hour late for, which is fine I’m patient but why was I so rushed then?) when I came in for a uti and found out I’m pregnant. The US tech not knowing I’m pregnant, no one telling me why im bleeding. No one returning calls about my lab results forcing me to sit in the lobby and wait for a tech. Again sitting here today waiting hours for a simple lab result (none of which are on my portal) and not being able to speak to anyone. If this is how patients are consistently being treated, I’m not sure I’ll be sticking around.
