I am a certified women’s health nurse practitioner. I have undergraduate degrees from Auburn University and Belmont University, and completed my graduate nursing coursework at Vanderbilt University in 2008. I joined Capital Area OB/GYN in January 2013 and I provide in-office obstetrical care and gynecology services.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, I moved to Raleigh in 2009. My husband, Michael, and I have three daughters. I enjoy being a mom and traveling.

I've seen Maggie Darst for almost 10 years now, and she has been wonderful! She makes me feel comfortable and heard with any issues I may have. She always asks if I'm still happy with my birth control. All of the staff at this location are always friendly. I also had my first mammogram, and the staff there are so nice! It was right across the hall from my OB office, and it's so convenient. Thank you!

Maggie was wonderful! It was my first time meeting with her, and I really appreciated her relaxed and knowledgable style. Overall I had a good appointment, just a couple quick notes that her student could have listened to the baby's heartbeat for longer than what felt like 2 seconds, but maybe just finding/hearing it is sufficient. Also the nurse who took my blood pressure used the same arm to also take my O2 reading, and I had a mask on. I think my numbers were fine but just a call out for future patients where O2 readings may be more critical. Again, I had a great visit but figured I'd give my honest feedback since you were asking!

Cloth gowns! Super nice staff! Maggie is awesome! Basically everything went smoothly, quickly, efficiently, and with plenty of explanation and room for questions.
