Salena wants to encourage her patients to be empowered and involved in their healthcare. She wants each patient to know she has really listened to them and desires to be their health advocate.

Salena has three sons and one cat. She loves being outside jogging or sitting on the couch reading. She was born and raised in Asheville. She began her nursing career as an LPN at Asheville Women’s Medical Center in 1999 and is excited to be back now as a Nurse Practitioner.

excellent care, on time, got appointment in a reasonable time. However I am unhappy with the way you now do calendars, quarterly (?). By the time you call me and say that I am due for an exam, and I remember to call back a few days later, all the slots for my Dr. are taken. I want to be able to schedule my annual exam a year out, then forget about it until I see it on my calendar. It is fine for me if the Dr. decides a couple months before the appointment to take a vacation and change the date. Then you can call and suggest some dates that she is available. That happens all the time with other doctors. Thank you.

Wait times were reasonable (I've had terrible experiences at this center with wait times in the past, but not this time!). Salena was also fantastic -- very knowledgeable, approachable, personable.
