A native of the Washington, DC area, Dr. Almquist is excited to now call Greensboro home. She, along with her husband and 3 year old daughter, enjoy taking advantage of the many recreational and educational opportunities the area has to offer. She particularly enjoys outdoor adventures with her family – especially kayaking, paddle-boarding, or just sitting at the beach watching the waves do all of the work. Her interests include exploring her local area along with traveling, and nightly story time with her daughter is a treasured routine.

Dr. Almquist has cared for women in Virginia, the High Country of North Carolina, and is now honored to care for the women of Greensboro and surrounding areas.

Breast Exam

I got to the appointment early per the check in requests. Nurse took me back early, which was fine. Then I sat in the exam room for an hour waiting for the doctor. I didn’t get a courtesy check in to say “hey the dr is running behind,” “we’ll be with your shortly,” or etc. When the dr did finally come in to see me, she did the breast exam and talked to me for all of 5 minutes and was done. I felt like nothing was addressed and was told everything was “normal.” I’m more upset about the discrepancy between the wait time, the doctor to patient contact time, and the quick dismissal.
