Dr. Michele Martin was born in Raleigh and was delivered by the founder of the practice, Dr. Annie Louise Wilkerson. She was raised, however, on a farm in Stokes County, North Carolina. She received her BS in zoology at NC State University.

Dr. Martin attended medical school at East Carolina University and completed her OB/GYN residency training there as well. She has been practicing at Wilkerson OBGYN for over 20 years. Dr. Martin has 2 children; daughter Tyler and son, Evan. If she ever has down time, she enjoys watching ACC sports, hot yoga, gardening, going to the beach and hanging out with her children.
