A native of Long Beach, New York (and proud of it!), Dr. Segal relocated to North Carolina in 1994. He attended medical school at SUNY at Stony Brook School of Medicine in Stony Brook, NY. He went on to complete his residency at the University of North Carolina Memorial Hospital at Chapel Hill. Fluent in Spanish, he is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the North Carolina Medical Society and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Segal resides in the area with his wife, Anne, and his 3 children, 2 girls and a boy. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, spending time with family, and traveling.

Gynecological Problem Visit

i love the other doctors in this office, but my appointment with Dr. Segal was not the best experience. he kept talking over me when i was trying to explain my problems, and he sent me away with telling me/giving me the chance to ask how to manage my severe pain until something can be done about it. i had to wait in the lobby for ~30 minutes to catch him after his next appointment to get advice on how to manage my pain. he was focused more on my endometriosis (which i already have an appointment for) rather than the issue i came in for- IUD movement and ovarian cyst. he also did not remove my IUD even though i verbally expressed a desire for it to be removed. i am looking forward to receive the top quality care i normally get from Dr. Acosta when i return for my post-op next week.
