A native of Long Beach, New York (and proud of it!), Dr. Segal relocated to North Carolina in 1994. He attended medical school at SUNY at Stony Brook School of Medicine in Stony Brook, NY. He went on to complete his residency at the University of North Carolina Memorial Hospital at Chapel Hill. Fluent in Spanish, he is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the North Carolina Medical Society and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Segal resides in the area with his wife, Anne, and his 3 children, 2 girls and a boy. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, spending time with family, and traveling.

I recently had my annual exam and Pap smear with Dr. Segal. As usual all staff were very kind and helpful. Dr Alan Segal is just wonderful! I have been his patient for about 15 years. He's always being very kind and thoughtful. Dr. Segal is very kind and patient and of course, he is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I usually ask him questions and recommendations to all kind of health concerns I may have, he always takes the time to listen to me and guides me to the right direction.
