Born in Dallas and raised in Houston, Dr. Brimmage left the state of Texas to attend undergrad at Harvard University. After graduation, he worked as a chemist, in business management, and as a high school teacher, before finally finding his calling in medicine. Dr. Brimmage attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He went on to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Dr. Brimmage is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and board eligible through the Fellow American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr Brimmage is passionate about improving the quality and safety of healthcare for women, and loves minimally invasive / robotic gynecologic surgery. He is married to Dr. Jenifer Briscoe and they have two children, a son and a daughter. Dr. Brimmage’s hobbies include cooking, travel, and photography.

Loop Electrical Excision Procedure (LEEP)

Dr. Brimmage is an extremely caring, competent, and gentle doctor. He calmed my nerves before the procedure and made sure to discuss pain management before starting. During the procedure he talked me through the entire thing, explaining each step along the way. He also explained next steps thoroughly and followed up with results of the sample margins. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing OBGYN care.

Routine Pregnancy / Prenatal Appointment

Telehealth visit was confusing. I got a text 15 min before my appt with a link to the “telegraph visit”, so I joined the link. Then it tells you to put your phone on do not disturb for an hour so I did that. Meanwhile the office called me and I missed the call because it was on do not disturb. It should’ve been made clear that it was either a video telehealth appt or a phone call.
