“I have always had an interest in women’s health and becoming an obstetrician and gynecologist has allowed me the opportunity to make an impact in women’s lives. Whether it is the joy of bringing a child into the world or helping you with different health concerns in the realm of gynecology, I will work hard to make each experience what you expect and deserve.

“I am dedicated to providing the best medical care to my patients. Each interaction with my patient teaches me something new. I will provide each of you the most up to date care. I believe in teamwork am I am truly honored to be joining such a wonderful group of physicians.”

In her free time, Dr. Garrett-Albaugh, enjoys spending time with her husband and sons. She loves to travel and spend time outdoors. She is a cheerleading enthusiast, being involved at the state level in WV as a safety and cheer judge prior to her move to NC.

Loop Electrical Excision Procedure (LEEP)

Dr. Garrett and team were absolutely wonderful. I had previously had a pretty traumatic experience with a colposcopy performed by another doctor (different practice entirely) a year prior and the news of having to have another one then followed by the LEEP was near panic inducing. Dr. Garrett was extremely understanding, kind, and warm. She made me feel heard and walked me through my options so I could decide what was best for me. I can't say enough positive things about her and I truly appreciate everyone I have been in contact with at the office as a whole. Women's healthcare can be daunting but I know I'm in great hands at Carteret OBGYN.

Dr Garrett did an amazing job on my c section. Her bedside manner is amazing! Was not nervous going into surgery at all. She took the time to explain every step of the procedure in pre op. She tied my tubes while she did the c section as well. No complaints at all!

Dr. Garrett was so kind and so understanding of my previous experience with this procedure. I felt heard and understood about my level of anxiety going into it a second time. The first time was with another doctor while I was living in another state and was traumatic to say the least. While still unpleasant, as is the nature of this procedure, she and the attending RN treated me with such care. As scary as the next step feels, I feel much more at peace knowing that I'm under Dr. Garrett's care. Thank you so much!
